A.

Whatever browser you use to access Lifepassport, it is able to identify the Extended Validation (EV) certificate and turn on the green address bar to immediately show the authenticity and legitimacy of our website, offering you more navigation security. The EV validation process establishes the legitimacy of our organisation within a specific jurisdiction. The accreditation process has established an authentication property rights domain. Lifepassport.org also clearly identifies the main locations in which the organisation operates through a set of strict, stringent and well defined validation procedures. Lifepassport is GlobalSign accredited, which is an Authority Certificate that has been WebTrust compliant since 2002 and a member of the Anti-Phishing Working Group.
All our connections are protected by the most advanced firewall and intrusion detection systems and ensure protection from viruses and malicious software. Q?

Assuming that I always have to carry my MEDICAL CARD with me, how do I know if someone has used my code to see my health information?

A.

Each time someone uses the code of your MEDICAL CARD to access your medical records you immediately receive an email alert (the address you provided us with). If you have reason to suspect that the access code has been taken from you then you can immediately block the code and the display of your medical records by clicking on the link in the email.

Q?

I lost my MEDICAL CARD, or the PRIVATE CARD, what should I do?

A.

If you lose one of the cards (PRIVATE or MEDICAL), visit the Block Card section on our website  www.lifepassport.org  and follow the steps . In a few seconds you can block all the cards and you'll immediately be sent new access codes. For security reasons, the codes of all your cards are deleted after you have used the procedure.  New codes will then be issued.

Q?

I activated the Block Card procedure and now I have new codes, what do I do with the old ones?

A.

The Block Card procedure allows you to stop your old codes and immediately receive an email with new codes. At this point the old forms (orange and blue) are no longer needed; they can be thrown away. Ask your dealer who will give you "empty" cards you can customise with new codes.  Please note that the activation code (the one in the folder containing the original cards) must always be kept regardless of the cards.

Q?

During the activation of Lifepassport I entered all my personal data, why doesn’t this information appear automatically in my medical records?

A.

This is because in order to protect your privacy you can also have a seemingly anonymous medical records (without your personal data or address), which is a possibility that we do not recommend, but which you can use. Thus, when you compile your medical records, we ask to re-enter your personal data.

Q?

I changed my email address and that of my residence. How do I notify you of these changes?

A.

It is very important to keep your email address and that of your residence up to date if they change compared to those entered during the activation of the service. Note that there are two personal data files:
a. a. The first archive is for administrative purposes, as well as communication between us and the user. This data base is completed during the activation and in case of changes to your  residence or email address it is  immediately updated. To do this you have enter your medical records, using your PRIVATE code, in the Settings area in the data section of your Account, edit the data and save it.  Note that we communicate with you only through your email address so if you do not you keep it updated all our communications (code changes, intrusion alarms, blockin gof cards, renewal service, etc.) will not reach you and you may also lose the right to use the service and delete all the data you have entered.
b. The second file only has the purpose of recording your residence in your medical record. This archive is updated in the  Personal data section from your medical records and you can decide whether or not to fill out the required information. This is because you may also have a seemingly anonymous medical records (without your name or address), which is a possibility that we do not recommend, but which you can use.

Q?

I tried to activate a medical card for my wife with my email address, which I already used to activate my medical records, and the system refused to activate it. Why is this?

A.

An essential prerequisite for activating our service is that the email address associated with individual user is univocal, in other words not used by another user. This is to respect privacy, for your security and to better ensure our high quality standards.

Q?

Why can’t I activate a number of medical records with the same email address?

A.

We communicate with you only through your email address and our automatic procedures (changing codes, intrusion alarms, renewal service, blocking of cards, etc.) need a reliable and verified interlocutor to be secure, quick and effective. We can only satisfy this requirement through the email address associated with the medical records that must be univocal.

Q?

Can I enter the data in my medical records by myself or do I necessarily need the assistance of my doctor?

A.
